Although quick to point out that "preschoolers are more my size," Nancy Baughman brings a big heart and lots of experience - more than forty years - to children's ministries. She joined our staff in 1996 as Early Childhood Director.

After receiving her Bachelor of Science in Education at Eastern Michigan University, Nancy taught Kindergarten at a Christian School for three years and started a family. Then she ran a preschool in her home for twenty years.

Nancy believes that building trusting relationships with children is the key to opening their hearts to God's love. She likes to remind us that since little ones are such concrete thinkers, it is when we show our love for them in concrete ways that they see God's love for them, too.

Nancy and Ken have been married for thirty-two years and they have three grown children: Jenni, married to Brian Atkins (our Middle School guy); David, married to Amanda Martin; and Dan, married to Krysta Thomas. Nancy loves to walk, play softball and tennis, do crossword puzzles, but most of all spend time with family.
