*Pray for the Budapest, Hungary Short-term Missions Team leaving tomorrow for two weeks of ministry to 61 missionary children at the T.E.A.M. European Conference there. Pray for safety in travel, good health, and a meaningful ministry of teaching God’s Word, worship, fun and care for each child. Also, continue praying for Josh Javery and his Yukon Short-term Missions Team of HPBC young adults as they work on a community center facility and host a VBS. Pray for safety as they return home this week-end.
*Praise that Jenni Sternberg's (GCM in TX) fiancé, Ade', picked up his VISA to the U.S. yesterday and was able to get a direct car ride back to Jenni. They are saying farewell to the boys at the orphanage in Nairobi and the wedding is in 2 weeks. Pray for safety in traveling.
*Brittany Bedford (pre-field support raising w/Pioneers for Guinea) asks for prayer as she prepares 5 Bible stories to encourage new Kon believers for her trip this month to West Africa. Pray that her ‘African dad’ would remain faithful under persecution for becoming a spiritual leader for the 16+ people in his family compound and for the new believers to form a house church. Pray for the formation of Team Kon—3 so far. Support raising affects the timeline of when she can go to France for language study. Currently, she is at 82% of her support need and anxious to get to West Africa where there is no church and no Scripture among the Konyanka.
*Carole Bowyer (Boys & Girls Bible Clubs in MI) asks for prayer for the Bible clubs that are meeting this summer. Pray for those at the office that are planning and organizing for the new curriculum series coming in the fall.
*Pray for P. O. (Asia). She still needs to lock in someone to take over the rent of her room there when she returns to MI for home assignment this October. Pray for someone to lead the Bible study there while she is here. Also, please pray that she would find a car to borrow while she is home for 6 months (Oct. – Mar.).
*Pray for P. & M. A. (Asia). They are thankful for a trip in May and June to Asia where they ministered to the Christians and challenged them to engage in global mission. They were also able to design a M.Div. program and 2 B.Th. programs. Pray for a teaching ministry and conference in Panama this month. Pray for M’s prep of CBS materials for September. Also, please pray for their daughter, Alicia, who is teaching English overseas this summer. Pray for their other daughter, Beatrice, who will take a study tour in Turkey.
*Frank & Barbara Young (retired in NC) are thankful to have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary June 9th. Send a note of congratulations to: hamrath@juno.com. They continue in ‘good health’ – PTL! Pray for several family members who are straying from the Lord, and for a son with rheumatoid arthritis. Frank & Barbara hope to be in Belleville, MI on Aug. 13 for relative’s wedding reception.
*Pray for A. W. (medical leave) who hopes to return to her country soon. Pray for her grandfather and her whole family, as he has been hospitalized since last Friday and the doctors don’t think he will make it much longer. All of her family has been able to be in IN with him the last several days. Also, pray for this spiritually intense month of Ramadan, where Muslims focus their time on seeking God. Pray that their eyes would be open to the Truth and that God would reveal Himself to them in a very real and unquestionable way during this time.
