We are people, called by God, to worship Him with our whole hearts. This is the only response worthy of a God who granted us life!

We believe that worship is essential for connecting with God, praising God, and through the Holy Spirit, growing deeper in our faith in Christ.

While worship comes in various forms and includes few or many participants, all vital worship includes common elements such as praise to God, prayer, confession, teaching and ordinances, all of which express our willingness to offer ourselves as living sacrifices in response to God who shows us love and mercy.

The language and format of worship must make God’s Word accessible and relevant to all who desire to hear it.

Ministry Opportunities

Chancel Choir
Our Chancel Choir provides leadership each Sunday in our Exaltation Service. It is a special family of people blended together in one voice to praise and magnify the Lord. The choir also performs concerts and special worship events each year. No audition required.

Orchestra Our orchestra is a great place to serve if you play an instrument. Our orchestra regularly leads in worship in our Exaltation Service and serves in special outreach events throughout the year. No audition required.

Praise and Worship Teams
Our Praise band consists of individuals who seek to worship Christ using their gifts of music in our Praise Service. Whether you play an instrument or sing, you are invited to audition for this group.

Media & Technical Team
This team consists of people who have a passion for visual arts, computers, & sound engineering, This group of people desire to use their time and talents to help further the Gospel through the use of Media and Technology. No experience necessary, all we ask is that you have a teachable spirit.

Gospel Choir
This is a new group at Highland Park. Our purpose is to exalt the Savior through contemporary forms of choral music. This group will sing in both the Exaltation Service and Praise Service on special occasions. No audition required.

How Can You Join Our Ministry?

There are many ways to get involved with the Music and Worship Ministry at Highland Park Baptist Church. After reading the descriptions of the different ministry teams, we ask that you pray for wisdom in where God would have you serve.

Once you feel God is leading you to inquire about a ministry team please contact us. You can do this one of three ways:
