*Continue to pray for the Uganda Short-term Missions Team as they continue to minister this week and return home on Saturday. They are in western Uganda where some of the team will train pastors and their wives at 2 different pastors’ conferences. Ask the Lord to give them safety, keep the team healthy, and to use them to build His church.
*Pray for Inell and Connie Jarlsberg as they stay an additional week to work out logistics so that the church can have an ongoing ministry to orphans with overwhelming medical needs. Pray for Connie’s dad in Wisconsin, who is doing OK, but has ongoing health issues. She has her brother and sister-in-law checking in with him, as well as a friend who is a nurse.
*Pray for Andy & Holly Rist (home assignment w/SEND from Ukraine). Pray for Abigail’s recovery from ear surgery and her follow-up appointment next Monday—hoping that the operation successfully closed the hole in her ear drum. Pray for Noah as he recuperates from eye surgery yesterday to correct his lazy eye. They are hoping this will correct the problem and that he won’t have to have additional surgeries—they return to Ukraine in January.
*Dick & Gerry Walton (retired w/SEND in PA) are thankful for your prayers for Joshua, their 17 yr. old grandson in TX, who is being treated for Leukemia ALS and is on a 6 mo. series of chemotherapy. Ask the Lord to eradicate the cancer and stabilize his system, as he goes through this great trial. September begins a new school year of visiting campuses for mobilizing future missionaries. Pray for short-termers for “Love Europe 2012” in countries next June and July.
*J. & C. K. (Asia) are thankful for a good start and excellent transition to their new ministry. During the month of fasting during the day time, there are a lot of opportunities for building relationships and sharing God’s Word through hospitality. Pray for wisdom in handling some land issues on their model farm, as there have been regular intruders destroying crops and property. Envy and greed seem to be at the root of the problems. Pray for J. as he teaches a class at a local Bible school for young pastors.
